COLYTON SCHOOL

'Growing confident life long learners who strive to achieve their personal best.'

EDUCATION OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM

As part of our commitment to education outside the classroom, school camps are open to year 3-8 students. Camps are normally an annual event. Parents are invited to join us on camps.

The learning and development the children get through this is amazing and they just love the experience. Parents attending camps are police vetted before going.

OUT OF CLASS DEVELOPMENT

At Colyton School we believe that children should be encouraged to explore and develop outdoors to the best of their ability. With this in mind, we feel it’s important to support children to ‘have a go’ if they wish. Some of the activities encouraged include tree climbing, bullrush, utilising our BMX track, swimming in our pool and attending school camps.

We have a policy of involving the students in Outdoor Education.

We operate Extension groups for pupils with identified abilities in various curriculum areas. Extension groups include academic and sporting groups, Information Technology, the Arts, Dance groups, etc
